Aimee, RSW
Registered Social Worker & Disability Navigation Specialist
- Registered Social Worker (RSW)
- 20+ years in health & social systems
- DTC, CPP-D, ODSP, AISH & BC PWD Navigation
- Trauma-informed & SDoH-guided practice
- Lived family experience with disability
For more than twenty years, Aimee has helped individuals and families navigate Canada’s health and social programs—turning complexity into step-by-step action.
She has worked across the continuum of care—from acute hospital settings (emergency, ICU, psychiatry, pediatrics, palliative, rehabilitation, and more) to community and public health, primary care networks, and private practice.
Her practice is guided by the Social Determinants of Health and a trauma-informed, person-centred approach. She specializes in disability navigation, provider-ready client narratives, and health-literacy coaching that respects each person’s pace and dignity.
Her system-level work includes advising government on disability and access to care, and teaching social work practice to strengthen person-centred care for the next generation of clinicians.
Her contributions have been recognized with leadership and person-centred care awards.
Lived experience
Beyond credentials, Aimee brings deep lived experience as a mother of five—including two social workers and a mental-health advocate—and as a parent to a daughter with Down syndrome and a son on the autism spectrum. That keeps her practice practical, compassionate, and focused on what works for real people.
Outside of work, you’ll find Aimee with family (and Chai the German Shepherd), reading, or grounding in nature. She believes social justice is a right—and her practice exists to make systems more accessible, one person and one application at a time.
